Antonito held its annual Labor Day celebration on Saturday, Sept. 2. The parade began with honoring Veterans. The parade marshals were Bobby and Orlinda Taylor. The community was represented by the cheerleaders of Antonito High School, 1973 alumni, and organizations like SLV Health, Antonito Together, and San Luis Valley Bike Riders for Youth just to name a few. The first responders had several fire trucks, and ambulances, ready for any emergency. SLV Spay and Neuter Alliance had a float. Afterward, there were various vendors, food, music, and a jumpy castle for the children. Some adults got together for a softball tournament, raising money for Little League.
