On behalf of Sheriff Garth Crowther and the Conejos County Search and Rescue Team. We would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the businesses and individuals who donated money in our effort to purchase a Snow Cat. This was a much-needed piece of equipment for wintertime rescues in the back country of Conejos County.

Last year alone the Conejos County Search and Rescue Team were called upon 38 times for lost, injured, and stranded individuals. Approximately half of the calls for help were during the winter where deep snow and frigid temperatures existed. The addition of the Snow Cat to our inventory will make the missions much easier, safer and will without a doubt save lives in the years to come.
