Lobato awarded Conejos County Sheriff's scholarship 

CONEJOS — Sheriff Garth Crowther is pleased to announce Grace Marie Lobato as this year’s recipient of the County Sheriff’s of Colorado, scholarship award from the Conejos County Sheriff’s Office. County Sheriff’s of Colorado offeres a total of 30 awards for $500 each, every year to high school students in Colorado. This is to help with funding higher level education expenses for local students. 

Conejos County Sheriff’s Office is represented by a citizens’ committee from within the county to select the winner. The Committee made their selections based on criteria established by the Colorado County Sheriff’s Association to including leadership, merit, character, involvement, purpose and need. Appliccats are required to attend a Colorado university, college or trade school. 

It is with great honor and privilege for Sheriff Crowther to announce Grace Marie Lobato as the selected recipient of the County Sheriff’s of Colorado, scholarship award. This award is selected by a committee at the Colorado Sheriff’s Association, put together to select one over all outstanding person. We are very happy Grace was select for this $1000 award in addition her local selection.
