ANTONITO — Jones Oil on Highway 112 in Center will be supplying fuel through their Sinclair Oil franchise for a new truck stop to open later this year in Antonito.
The mayor of Antonito, Aaron Abeyta, officiated at the ground-breaking for the truck stop earlier this month.  The fueling facility and convenience store is being built by the Fred Cordova family. The store will be managed by Senaida Cordova and sisters Blossom and Daisy.
The facility will be on the south edge of town on U.S. 285 close to the Cumbres-Toltec Railroad.
Situated on 14 acres, the truck stop is being built for both trucks and cars and will care for the motoring needs of travelers and locals.
Fuel islands are being built by Seneca Companies and the store by a local contractor, Robbins Construction, consulting with Martin Engineering.
Top-tier, Sinclair gasoline and diesel fuel will be provided by Jones Oil.
