Rotary helps kids stay drug free

LA JARA — The contest was started as part of a drug free prevention activity to involve both high school students and grade school students.
Students colored a picture drawn by Centauri high school student, Alivia Pena, depicting a parachuter with the caption: Life Can Make You Higher Than Drugs.
Winners from each school received $25.  
These students are Lyndie Sowards,( La Jara Elementary), Misty Crowther (Sanford Elementary), Emma Laugen ( Antonito Elementary) and overall winner Erine Espinoza from Manassa Elementary.
