Sanchez presented with Bronze Star

Brigadier Soldier, General Charles H. Swartz, 44th Division Artillery, congratulates Sergeant First Class Clorovio N. Sanchez of Chama, Colo. after presenting him with the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious services in Korea. The presentation took place uder cloudy skies at a Division Artillery review at Fort Lewis Gray Field. Sfc Sanchez , a member of the artillery medical detachment is the son of Mr. Silvano Sanchez of Chama, Colorado. “Sfc Sanchez won the Bronze Star Medal for his service in Korea as a medical platoon sergeant and later as collecting station platoon sergeant with Mediccal Company of the 65th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division from March to December 1953. He was cited for administering prompt and reliable medical treatment in spite of the long working hours and adverse weather and terrain conditions and for his aggresive efforts in training and employing new men, thus insuring a maximum operational effectiveness at all times. “ Sfc Sanchez is the son of Mr Silviano Sanchez of Chama, Colo.
