LA JARA/MANASSA — Elementary School Counselor Stephanie Shawcroft is excited about the upcoming school year, although this school year will look and feel different from years past.
She notes some students will learn in person and others in remote learning.

“However, we have chosen to learn; I believe we are all eager to learn, help our brains grow, and do our very best.”

During the upcoming school year, she will be in each classroom every other week to teach guidance lessons, focusing on social-emotional, academic and career development, along with individual and small group counseling sessions. We will discuss topics such as friendship building, self-esteem, social skills and bullying.
