CONEJOS —Conejos County Sheriff Howard C Galvez Jr. is reminding everyone who is either considering conducting a controlled burn or is having a controlled burn to do so in a safe and controlled manner.
"We at the Conejos County Sheriff’s Office have been responding to numerous controlled burns that have got out of control," Galvez said.
"There have been several fires that have threatened structures and residences already this year." Burning includes but not limited to trash, ditches, fields, lawns, weeds and/or campfires.
