COLORADO —According to the Colorado Avalanche Information Center (COAIC), snowfall will spread into the San Juan Mountains today (Wednesday),  then spread north and east overnight.
Flow shifts to the west during the day as the trough axis of the an low-pressure system passes through Colorado.
This will mean good snowfall for the Central Mountains, Wolf Creek Pass and the Park Range, with as much as another eight inches of accumulation.
Other areas should pick up one to 4 inches by sundown.  Westerly winds are expected to create a lot of blowing snow. Snowfall tapers off by nightfall, but the strong westerly winds continue.
COAIC reports say another system is expected Thursday night into Friday and this next one looks stronger.
