ALAMOSA— The Overall Triathlete in the Splashland Hot Springs Swimming Pool Sprint Triathlon included: Jarrod Trainor, Albuquerque, N.M., male; Paula Maresh, Littleton, female; and relay triathletes: Team MunsonValentin, La Jara, first place and Team Three Amigos, Alamosa, second place. The weather at the start of the race, 9 a.m. was 41 degrees with an 11 mph breeze. The weather at the finish hovered around 54 degrees with 18-20 mph gusts. The Oct. 21 event had 40 participants and two relay teams.

According to Michael Bush, event organizer, the Adams State women’s softball team volunteered as course marshals and helped out at registration and finish line.
